Recently, many companies have been facing the challenge of labor shortage, making it difficult to fill open positions and slowing growth. To address this problem, companies are starting to leverage technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), which can help partially solve this situation. Recruitment tools utilizing artificial intelligence have the potential to revolutionize the employee recruitment process in general. With the help of AI and advanced language processing, these tools can sift through a large volume of resumes in ATS databases or job applications, identifying and ranking candidates based on their suitability for specific positions.

Milan Mahovský, CEO of dream.jobs, believes that AI could be part of the solution to the labor shortage problem. Advanced AI-based systems analyze data from applicant profiles and compare them with job offers. Artificial intelligence works 24/7 and faster than a recruiter, significantly accelerating the connection between employers and suitable candidates, and vice versa. To give you an idea, it can reduce the time spent on recruitment from weeks or even months to days or even hours.

The main advantage of using AI-powered recruitment tools is the speed at which they process large volumes of data. For every company, it is crucial to fill job positions quickly. You cannot operate a store without a cashier, close the books without an accountant, or make sales without a salesperson. Although waiting for weeks or even months is the current standard, it is not necessary. AI-driven recruitment tools can significantly shorten the time needed for recruitment compared to traditional methods.

Another advantage of using AI-driven tools for employee recruitment is the reduction of biases. Traditional recruitment methods often rely on human judgment, which can lead to biases based on age, gender, ethnicity, and other factors. AI-powered recruitment tools are designed to eliminate these biases and promote diversity among the candidate pool.

However, it's important to realize that AI tools are not a standalone solution for labor shortage. While they can help identify suitable candidates, they do not replace the need for companies to invest in training and developing employees. It is also crucial for companies to create a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees, regardless of the method used for recruitment.
